The British Museum has the most important collection of historical artefacts anywhere in the world and can boast of being the world’s first national collection that was started by Hans Sloane in 1753. It is a huge labyrinth of priceless artefacts from the earliest writing in Babylon to the pageantry of the Roman Empire. As you walk through each room, you are reliving the past, where you will observe the preservation of thousands of years of the human story written in stone.
